They can build up to it's existing height, including semi permanent structures such as flag poles... so we can go up, but not quite as high as the Don Rogers.

Or something like that.

the sunlight thing was the basis for some very public objections, not an actual decision.  One or two of the home owners were very angry and got some publicity at the time and it's stuck as myth that they go their way.  I think it was that the club didn't push ahead so people assumed the residents in question had got their way.

I think we should have a protest outside their houses.  Those who choose to live next to a football ground, knew it when they moved in. (Unless they are extremely old).   It's as bad as people buying a house under the flightpath for Heathrow, & then complaining about the Aircraft.

It's a bit different though, they're not moaning about the football or the noise, or the ground as it stands, more to do with the light.

It's more like a neighbour wanted to put a big extension onto their house and this would block out a lot of light.

You haven't spoken to them!  One particular chap whined about the floodlights, the noise, the traffic, the ground existing in fact.  I had the joy of talking to him back in 1995 (he may well have moved mind) when this was all still up in the air.  Helping out my cousin on his Geography Degree, doing some sort of environmental survey on the proposals.

Yeah but they're hardly threatening the existence of the club. Would be a bit harsh to protest for very little reason.

I know all you busy bodies will be disappointed in me saying that  Cool
