Thanks for the kind words everybody. I'm already seeing just what hard work it would appear I'm heading for.

Sometimes he cries, and I mean, absolutely screaming, and he doesn't want to feed, has a clean nappy, has been winded....Its all very frustrating.

But I know, the day I get him out in the garden for a kick about with his first football, it'll all be worth it and more.

Involvement should end with conception.....fuck me you even get blokes going to ante natal clinics these days....WTF is that about.

Pay the cheques and clip the little buggers around the ear, when needed, that should do.

Many congratulations!

We're expecting our first in a couple of weeks' time...so I'd be very interested to hear how you're getting on in a week or so.  And hope your wife is feeling OK after the section.

If you witnessed the labour my wife had to go through, you'd probably think that she deserved a bit of help with this whole baby business too!

I know it looks bad mate, but women are built for it....or they can always be drugged up.  Proof that women have an easier life is  shown in the life expectancy stats.

In England the average for men is about 76  for women 81.

The higher life expectancy is most probably because they don't spend half their lives in pubs wetting the heads of various babies!!

3 days labour
fuck me that must have been hard for all 3 of you.

my mrs had it ok really as my first child was a 4 hour labour, the second was out in 2.i missed the second as i couldn't get back from work in time.was just passing walsall on the m6 when the mrs called to say it had started.by the time i got to the hospital my daughter had just been put on the machine to suck all the shit out of her lungs.was able to see the mrs gash sewn back together. Cheesy could have done it a bit tighter mind!

good luck with the little un. its the best thing in life and the rewards are massive.
