It doesn't say the kittens are on board.
The driver could be one of the girls as well.

10990? That's correct isn't it. Remember Each girl has 7 bags. Which is 49 bags = 343 cats = 1372 legs. 343 cats * 7* 4 = 9604 kittens legs. + 14 legs belonging to the girls. Of course it doesn't say the kittens are in the bags with the cats, or that the girls have 2 legs, so you can make up your own answers. Edit. Screw you Barry Scott, I was working that out and you go an post before me :boohoo: I posted then reread the original post and thought that it doesn't mention the kittens being with the cats. We both must've come to the same conclusion and edited roughly the same time. We're all winners.

7 girls = 14 legs 7*7*7*4 = 1372 7*7*7*7*4 = 9604
Total = 10990
or:
49 Bags
Each bag = (7*4)+(7*7*4)
Bag = 224 *49 = 10976
+ 14 legs on girls = 10990.
