Well it sounds like we are boring as ever away from home. Maybe it's a Malpas thing i don't know? one win, one draw, one loss away from home under malpas. seriously - what the fuck are you talking about? Why is it always me people pick on? FFS i'm nowhere near as bad as some of the anti Malpas idiots on here. In fact i'm pro Malpas. I'm just pointing out that our away games have been dull as fuck recently by the sounds of it and that maybe it's Malpas' tactics away from home or maybe it isn't? I have never said i wanted him out or that we have been shite under him. calm down......Aubrey

I'm sure that when interviewed yesterday, Malpas said something along the lines of "Perhaps we need to be a little bit more Khamikazi (sp) in order to get the win and if we end up losing then so be it see you Jimmy"
It may have been a dream but I'm pretty sure that's what he said. Apart from the 'see you Jimmy' bit. He wasn't talking to Jimmy, he was talking to Ed Hadwin.
That would certainly suggest that us being a bit boring is nowt to do with him though.

Interesting

I don't think we've been tactically any different under Malpas. He's shifted a couple of players into different positions but that's about it.
We've shown home or away this season that if we go to play football and play to win, more often that not we get a decent result. The worrying thing for me is when we drop points due to silly mistakes at the back. Seems to be a regular occurrence. I'd sooner sort stuff like that out rather than have a major tactical overhaul.

FFS, what is this, the first defeat in 10 League games? Exactly. Let's get this into perspective - we've been on the brink of going out of business this season, we had the BEST takeover farce, we lost a really good manager in November and didn't replace him until January and yet we're still sitting comfortably in mid-table. I know football fans have unrealistic expectations, but personally I'll be happy with mid-table this season - partly because we haven't got a squad capable of surviving in the Championship - and look to push for the play-offs next year.

I wont be happy with mid table ...mid table is boring, screw it I want a pop at the Play Offs here here, lets make the second half of the season interesting in a good way. fuck what we wanted at the start (survival as a club), things have changed and although I won't be gutted if we don't get to the play offs I'd like to see how close we can get to at least make the last few games a bit intersting.

I wont be happy with mid table ...mid table is boring, screw it I want a pop at the Play Offs I'll be happy with some replacement bulbs in the floodlights. Beating Cheltnumb, Leeds, and Rovers would give us 49 points a point at Forest 50. cane Port Vale 7-0 with 5 for Cox and I'd regard it as a decent season.

After everything that's happened over the last few months/years and looking at what's happened at Luton and Bournemouth recently (there but for the grace of God and all that) I will definitely be more than happy with a top ten finish. i.e. 10th.
Oh yes, and what if Best Holdings had taken over??? **shudder** the thought of that makes my blood run cold. If that had gone through, we would have been looking at Luton and Bournemouth with envy. We would probably have been getting nostalgic about Bob Holt and Diamond Mike. It just doesn't bear thinking about :?
