Even though him and Roberts played regularly in a team who finished 2 places above us and in all honesty should have won the final?
Hmmm OK then. I think if you ask city fans why they didn't go up that year they'd blame a couple of weak links. I can honestly say that season Roberts and Peacock would not have been a welcome addition to our squad. How some can criticise Igoe's input that year is beyond me. Howard and Igoe ran certain sides ragged that year, Sheff Wed, Hull to name a couple. The next season wasn;t so good, but our play off year some of our players were superb. Roberts and Peacock have never come close to that kind of form.

If we'd had Peacock in midfield instead of Matty Hewlett we probably would have finished bloody second!!!
Our play off side had a very weak links itself.....

It was obvious to anyone at Barnet that we need some srikers, ime sure Cox wouldve won us the game with the chances we created. Would that have been the case with Corr and Ashikodi up front and an on form Christian Roberts on the wing? I doubt it to be honest

Just goes to show that when you have a half decent midfield creating chances and a couple of fella's up front who know how to finish you have every chance of doing well in a loeague like this.

more consistent as well. on his day igoe would rip the opposition to shreds, great player to watch - that side with migs, igoe and howard in the midfield and parkin up front was guaranteed fun.
zaaboub reminds me a little of howard in some respects, frustratingly inconsistent, simular build and a tendency to vanish during games

definitely, scored goals too which zaaboub doesn't!
i think spencer has said it many times before but king handled howard wrongly. he's excelled at barnsley but king couldn't get the best out of him here

Howard was miles better than Zaaboub.
Igoe was good, but no better than Roberts. He was just as inconsistent. I just don't get the slating of Roberts as he's been excellent this season.
