Anybody using the A419 from the Cirencester/Cricklade direction should allow about an hour extra for their journey this afternoon.  The road has been reduced to one lane for the weekend and traffic was queuing from the Castle Eaton junction and taking three-quarers of an hour to reach the Turnpike roundabout.  The same problem will happen on the way home, at present the traffic is queing from Penhill just to get out onto the A419!

Its because its a privatised road.....one of the last acts of a corrupt Tory government.

A couple of years ago I had to get out to near Painswick, one evening, and the cunts had completely closed the road for miles  just westward from Ciren..

There was no information other than a route for Cheltenham along the A345.

Not wishing to go to Cheltenham, and back around,  I tried to go via lanes to get back to the 417....but everytime I got back, the stretch was still closed so had to go back and try again....at one point ended up in a fucking barn..

It is going to be the same next weekend as well as it is all to do with the bypass they are putting in, it was in the adver last week sometime about it, but traffic down Thamesdown Drive was a nightmare you had drivers doing u-turns at the traffic lights and nearly causing accidents.

Correct, and it cost Billy Paynter a club fine because he got caught up in it and was late reporting at the CG!!
