lost folder (on pc)

tried to copy a folder from one location to another. it didn't copy, and now it's nowhere to be found. tried a search but nowt.

tips?

Bit of a long shot, but I  thought I'd lost a music file reformatting, then quite a while later noticed it while running a virus scan, in effect it had got lost, although was still on the hard drive somewhere.

 So maybe try running a virus scan and watching to see what goes through then stop it at your file if it appears.
