How do you guys play?

Since time immemorial I have been a d-pad man, mostly because I've played since ISS 98 on the PS1.

Just recently mind, Ive been having a real go at using the stick, it seems to give me more options, but it's damn hard keeping your thumb on the sodding thing.

Any thoughts?

d-pad all the time. I don't get on with the sticks, apart from making people look stupid with a little spin on the ball here and there.

D pad all the way rudeboys.

The zidane-esque spin is great, can often infuriate my mates into wild red card lunges after accusations of showboating Cheesy

does anyone ever use the manual pass? cant say i do, and when I've tried I fuck it right up

If I want too bash out a good cross field ball I like to use the manual pass quite often, however it takes a fraction of a second longer to execute, so can only be done with a bit of space, otherwise you get closed down too easily.

D-Pad definately for me!  And i always use manual pass.  Gives you more control, just takes a bit of practice to get it down to a t!

On the PS1, I always used the D-Pad, but since I've had a PS2 I use the sticks all of the time. Took a few matches to get used to it, but well worth it, much better control. And the right stick spins are  Cool .

As for the manual pass, never tried it against the computer, but against mates I occasionally use it, not all that successfully though.

Dont see any point in using the sticks. cant change direction as easy.

If anyone is free for a game tomorrow I will gladly kill them
