Didn't realise Drago was now playing pool? He was one of my favourite snooker players. Shame i only have gypo tv.

fact of the day: tony drago holds the fastest century break in championship snooker at just over 3 minutes.

That's why he was so good to watch. Like Ronnie but without the all conquering ability and head fuck mental issues.

It was people like Drago that made the snooker for me. I dread to think what snooker will be like once Ronnie retires again, although no doubt he'll go on and clean up on the pool circuit.

Didn't he start pool after one of his previous retirements, i'm sure he played in the mosconi cup, although i could be wrong?

you are right, the rocket played in one of europe's winning mosconi teams in the 90's, alongside davis, higgins, white and some others. drago blows very hot and cold: he can be absolutely shite, or he can be tremendously awesome (as he was yesterday).

incidentally this year's mosconi cup is being held at the mgm grand in las vegas. they really do get the big sporting events there don't they?
