Never used pertemps mate, I agree about the jobcentre - went in once when I was 17 and thought to myself 'I'm better than this' so never returned.

I've been quite lucky with the agency I use - they're an independant one in MK and they've looked after me really well.

Me and my friend caught a tropical diesease off an illegal immigrant in Swindon job centre once and nearly died - true story!

we had to sign on as the company we worked for went into administration and we had to sign on in order to claim redundancy from the goverment - it was a truely horrible experience

i like the fact you justified your reason for going to the jobcentre.

I used to love my meetings when I was signing on.

Normally spent 10mins chatting to the nice lady about her niece who was travelling and places you'd like to go and stuff.

I normally turned up on time and was vaguely literate which seemed impressive enough for them to believe me when I said I'd been looking for work.

Had to fill in that little booklet. What have you done? Bought the adver. Did you find work? No.

I felt I needed too!!

My lady was horrid and bossy and treated me like the toothless drunken tramp queued behind me! It was nearly 5 years ago now but I still feel slightly traumatised by the whole ordeal
