this says it all. According to Sport, the free london newspaper, we're the 7th most expensive team to support. I haven't seen the story, my boss told me, he couldn;t believe it. Man United are top.

surely carlisle or plymouth would be highest if you include travelling. or anyone who regularly gets into europe.

And yes, CT, i would be surprised if only 6 prem teams or even champ had higher ST prices than us.

it's not just ticket prices, but food, programmes, kits etc. I'll see if I can dig the article out.

But i also heard we have some of the highest player wages in Leagues one and two. So that contributes to it too. So i can see why we would be 7th.

Our kits are the same price as some prem clubs. (Adult kits that is of course)

Only difference is the quality of ours is a lot poorer and we dont get the likes of Nike, Adidas etc. sponsoring us.

It's funny how a months wages in a reasonable run prem club would probably equal our yearly spend though

There is no way at all that we are more expensive to support than the majority of Premiership clubs! Not sure what they've based it on but it sounds like bollocks to me

It's quite possible because a lot of the Northern teams have reasonably low priced seats available - Blackburn, Wigan etc.  You can get decent seats for £15.  Man Utd have only just gone up in price since they got purchased by a debt pile.  You used to be able to get adult seats for cheaper than our main stands, that's for sure.

It would not suprise me to see us high up the table.  Are Bristol City moving up it as well?  I think they are one of the most expensive in the Championship now.

Oh, and I remember in the close season noticing that you could get an Everton season ticket for less than some of ours as well.  Might not be comparable seats as such but I suppose the teams you see more than compensates.

Yeah, you can say what you like about sweatshops, but those kids sure know how to knock up a nice kit.
