Seems to have calmed down a bit now. When the forum get's slow don't start hitting the submit button over and over again after writing a message. Often it's submitted the message but it's being slow loading the next page (the one which asks you if you want to go back to the forum / view your message). Hitting submit again just reposts the message, that's how you end up with lot's of message repeats.
If it's really going slow then just hit back and refresh the page. Quite often your message will have made it anyway.
