I bought the Fat Harry White 'album'. It was just a collection of his best shows.
I still remeber the first time i heard it. I was driving my Mum somewhere and had no idea what it was. Neither of us could believe it was on radio 1 at 15:00! Fuck knows how they got away with it. Hilarious though.
not quite the same, but the janet and john tales you get on Wogan at about 9am are in a similar vein (a big bulging blue vein).

Mark and Lard were great but just not suited to breakfast.
I remember a line from one of their little ditties going something like:
"Oh what a glorious thing to be, a busy busy busy bumble bee. Whiling away all the daylight hours, taking all the pollen from the cornbeef flowers"

I'd agree with that Rob, they should never have been put on the Breakfast Show.

yep, they just became so damned good in their slot that they seemed the obvious choice. Not sure half the breakfast listeners got it though.

Steve Wright in the afternoon was pretty good in the early 90's
"Don't think you've got authority" He's still worth a listen nowadays on Radio 2, although I do sometimes get fed up of his predictability

Chris Moyles and his cronies are as funny as (to quote Tommy Saxondale) "licking piss off nettles". The fact that so many people listen to him doesn't suggest that he's funny - it simply indicates that the UK really is going to the dogs
