Another money motivated move...

Was just voted player of the season at Scunny and offered a 2 year deal at the new Championship club, which he rejected to join.....Darlington?! What a great career move, from the championship to an average League Two team. It must be because of Dave Penney (who he was with at Doncaster), although Foster was sacked by Penney because they had a fight...

Really strange one, as well as Keates & Westwood to Posh.

I read that - it's even stranger IMHO - maybe if he didn't think he'd be up to the championship he could have at least secured a move back to League One.  It's been sadi before but money talks - although the fact he turned down as longer contract really does make you wonder - where is Darlo's cash coming from?

It's sad because that he's sacrificing a Championship career in order to make more money... If it's more practical in the long run for Foster then it's probably understandable.

Expect Scunthorpe to miss out of several targets and ultimately have a horrible season in the Championship... They will lose Billy Sharp sooner rather than later too.

Damn right... I'd be gutted and a little mortified if Ifil left us for a team like Peterborough.

I dont see the problem its lower league football although he'll be earning decent money it wont be insane amounts. If you have a career that lasts 10 years you have to maximise your earnings in that 10 years.A bit annoying when its one of our own but its not in this case so who gives a crap.

It was also part of the deal that Foster became the club captain which may explain the move. Still seems a little strange to drop two divisions though.
