Looks like there's been some massive vote rigging in Swindon Central, where according to the Adver update site, the turnout was a worrying 1820% of those eligible to vote SWINDON CENTRAL (Electorate: 7,765) Majority: 237 Turnout: 1820% (Linky here but they'll probably have corrected it by the time you read this: http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/election/)

Yes where the newly elected councillor is one R Mugabe.
You're still in Lib Dem country by the way, in case you were worried. I know how you fret about these things

Yay Stan Pajak won in my ward. And I voted for him. But I've won the argument that it didn't matter if I voted or not.

Not many options in my ward. The Tory dude sent me one leaflet and he looked like a Ginger William Shatner. I got one poor home printer effort from labour, but they had no chance in eastcott. With no Green, I'm happy to live in the most sensible ward in Swindon.

Talking of keeping it the family, Stan Pajak's stood three of his kids as Lib Dem candididates, the youngest of whom is 18

Pretty predictable results all round. Relieved Stan held his seat in Eastcott and the nobjocky Peter Heaton Jones didn't win Western (although it was a bit close for comfort). Still got Nick Martin tho
