We're only days away from 'D-Day' and our chairman is hard at work at the County Ground ...
Oh hang on ... what's this ...? He's at Ascot!
What a bloody surprise.

Come on fella's I'm at odds with the board as much as the next man, but I wish we'd stick to facts.
Willie does go to a fair share of matches. It's obvious that he was brought in as a "figurehead" not a hands on Chairman. He's probably as fucked off about the way things have turned out as us, how many of us lot have lost £1/2m in STFC.
From the fans forum it was clear that Willie was being kept in the dark over a lot of the shit that's going on. I'm no fan of WC but come on give the guy a break.
Annoying, embarrassing little fella, but I don't really think he deserves all the stick he gets.

Jan, totally agree about the fact he was bought in as a figurehead ... but surely his purpose has been served now. Not a surprise he's at Ascot, but just thought I'd make the point ...

I'd agree with that Chris, but as the most well known person on our board I think it makes sense to keep him as "figurehead chairman", just in case he runs into another arab millionaire who expresses an interest - just in case, never say never.

Jan, I agree he gets more stick than warranted, but then he does have the choice to stand down doesn't he?
Plus I think it's closer to £400k that he invested, still a bit of cash but not quite £1m/£2m.
There are far more deserving of the wrath of supporters though, and lets be honest, would we really want Carson sorting out the mess?!

Sorry Robbo, that was meant to be half a million not 1 or 2 mill. And yes he does have the choice to stand down but perhaps he feels that if he stands down as chairman the other idiots on the board would completely forget about him, I assume he wants his money back and if left alone the others wouldn#t give two hoots about wee Willie's cash.

Yes there are ... and they get that here. Doesn't mean Wee Willie should be immune from it.

"Dear Willie,
Any chance you could give us a tip on a 9/1 shot, we've managed to muster up £100,000 and if it comes in we'll finally be able to pay off our debts on 30 June!!!
Hugs and kisses
Mike, Sandra, Bob and all at Swindon Town Football Club."
Just sent that in!
