i think now is the time to get lou macari back here. we have a decent fit squad to inherit.his no nonsense approach would keep us rolling along and get us promoted.also i think he would see the job out and not jump ship,or come here for personal gain would be cheaper than what wise and poyet were getting too.

No. He's out of touch, a managerial dinosaur. I doubt he'd want to get back into football management again anyway.

Lou Macari is not the answer. Not sure what the question is, but he's not the answer.

I’d like that Fjortoft character who just so happened to try and get into English footy off the back of the Norwegian led bid for Liverpool a few months ago.
He’s now chief exec at Lillestrom and has the all important coaching experience.
I’m going to send him an email now.

I don't want a manager that's been here before. It just doesn't work.
I don't want a manager that's been a player here before. That doesn't usually work.
I want either a young, hungry manager, or an older experienced one.
It's all well and good reminiscing about chalkie White, Macari, Ardiles, Hoddle, Ling, Calderwood, Iffy and even King, but lets get real.

Yeah. Cos he did brilliant after he left here, didn't he? Much as I love the guy after what he did for us I wouldn't want him back as if he didn't achieve success, all he did first time round would be tainted. He did ok after us though. West Ham wasn't the right move. He did well at Stoke and Birmingham. Celtic again was the wrong time for him. And Huddersfield he was unlucky to get the boot.

Er..................... am I the only one that remembers that Super Lou's fondness for brown paper envelopes stuffed with tenners and sly visits to the bookies to bet against his own side in a game we got absolutely bloody stuffed in cost us our promotion to the 1st division ubder Ossie and was the root cause of the club being the financial fucking trainwreck that it is now?
Or did I dream that.
Incidentally a lot of you that go on about how great Lou was clearly don't remember the football well, or indeed at all.
OK in the lower leagues in a bit of a John Beck kind of way, but found out and not quite up to it in the old 2nd div.

We're already bankrupt so there's no need for him to come in - the board have managed to bugger it up quite well on their own.
