Would you be venting your 'anger' if it were a player who was out of action for 18 months?

No - because he wouldn't be potentially putting money in - you'd be wishing him all the best and hoping he can get on with his life.

Get a fucking grip people, he's a human being with his own concerns - concerns that have changed dramatically in the last month and a half!

That's a bit fucking vicious isn't it?!  I was simply making a point!

Anyway, disappointment can take many forms and this is what it all boils down to in the end....Of course there is nothing new in being disappointed in the state of affairs at Swindon Town Football Club, we all know that.

But hey, get a grip people, it's only football after all!

This statement is the only way the board can ammicably announce losing major investment.

But they haven't lost the investment Power has already put in. Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I understand it he bought a million quids worth of shares. He still owns those shares and they are his to do with as he pleases. If he keeps them or sells them it doesn't take money away from the club.

What it does mean is that Power will not take up a place on the board of directors and there will be no future investment from him.

People are concerned about their club - everyone will calm down soon I'm sure!  I'm certainly not blaming BP - far from it - and I hope he makes as speedy a recovery as possible, I'm just saying many people want to blame someone, rightly or wrongly, it's human nature, and that the current board are obvious targets.

That is all.

Blimey just heard the news! Best wished to Mr Power! I can understand that people are upset and there is a bit of me that thinks that there is something more to this than what is being said but like KT says, he is human and if he feels he cannot fulfill his role then so be it! What does worry me is that we are really challenging our budget and with the likes of paul ince on the books, we may struggle! So the question is what can we do? I really dont think people not going to games as a protest will do anything for our club! We need to support our football team by going to games and pushing our lads to promotion, because at the end of the day that is what we care about the most!

Kinky Tom is about the only person in this thread to actually have a grip on reality at the moment it would seem.

Yeah, I'm sure he was the one that brought the plane down.

If there's one thing I dislike more than Holt & co, its some of the fucking idiotic twats who support this club (not naming any names..ahem). Get a fucking grip ffs.

Big blow, will be interesting to see what happens from here but I don't think it's all doom & gloom.

No, Robert brought the plane down but he blamed it on Cameron.

None of us know the goings on of the club, but all I'd say is I'd love to put millions into the club further down the line and not be able to oversee that investment because I was recovering from injury. Power is so selfish.
