I saw a solution to this a few weeks ago on here and cant find it now.

I appear to have downloaded something that has changed my IE homepage to something that I dont want. Is there something I can download to remove it?

try downloading spybot search and destroy from here:

i'd also recommend ad-aware. you can get that here:

run these periodically (like you would a virus scan) to remove adware and spyware.

i'd also recommend you get a firewall if you don't have one already. you could buy Norton Internet Security but if you want a good free one go to:
