Brazl didn't play well though. The only thing that let Ghana down was their finishing which has been poor throughout the tournament. If they'd taken their chances they could have scored 5 or 6 against Czech Republic and really should have scored a couple yesterday.

Even on our current form, i'm not fearing Brazil at all. Japan gave them a run for their money, as did Ghana.

I am getting fed up of commentators loving the Brazilians way too much.

The best Brazilian this tournament is Leonardo in the studio. He's ace for a non-English pundit.

It was offside, but what's the deal with it touching the defender?

I always thought that if a defender touches the ball then you can't be offside, but in recent years I've become confudled.

Ghana should have scored when they were dominating. It's going to be very tough for them now...
The ball has to be passed by a defender. A minor deflection does not count

Only if the original pass was backwards.

If the player was offside from the moment of the original pass then they are offside, regardless of any deflections.
