This season will go one fo two ways Johno mate:

1. we bounce back and this kick in the teeth perks them up
2. it destroys confidence and that's it

I'm backing 2, it's hard not to at the moment

In true DV85 fashion, before the season even kicked off I highlighted the Yeovil game as the one where we went down and everyone thought I was fucking crazy and still talking about the play offs....deluded...

We won't get relegated at Yeovil.

We'll get relegated at Ashton Gate, idiot.

In all seriousness though even if we do go down it will go right to the wire.

Right. I know I didn't go to the game so maybe this is a rather distorted view:

Shitty lost to Swansea by the same margin and played absolute shite. It seems evident that their recent performances have been better. There's still enough of the season left to get out of trouble. Quite how we're going to do it and when we are is the question, but this league is possibly the tightest down the bottom half it has ever been. Anything can happen. The season with the infamous Danny wonder-goal is a proven fact of this. In terms of actual performance on the day it surely can't get any worse.

If you take a look at the starting 11 of Bristol City that day, I think you'll find only about 3 of the players who started that game started saturday.

Where as most of our 7-1 defeated players will play next game

I'm of the opinion that this will be the result that galvanises the lads and I honestly believe we'll kick-on and put things right - the old wounded animal scenario.

One thing is for sure, Saturday was a clear illustration of just how important Paul Smith and CCP have become.
