is class-shows a real club spirit-especially the nice touch of putting the resrve team at the front. It was centre spread in the excellent When Saturday Comes maghttp://www.eclient.empics.com/URNs/preview/312683.jpg

The 14 in white, shared a few STFC appearances between them.....note the little row of seats right by the pitch in front of the old north stand.

Having the crowd right up against the pitch certainly improved the atmosphere.....our pitch used to be a lot longer so that the goals were right up to the TE and Bank, you could just about lean over and touch the keeper when he was collecting a ball from the goal.

Then buffer zones to get vehicle access had to be put in...etc.

There are still grounds where you are almost on the pitch. For example the away ends at Brentford and Cheltenham

Bloody ell that's a question...its an away ground so it could be because of something there rather than at STFC...I'm trying to work out what Don Rogers has stuck in his teeth.

Replying to my own post about the 14 players in white, between them they played 3752 league games and 660 cup games...a total of 4412 games for the club....an average of 315 a man.

The Horse smoked like a trooper and didn't run much, but was absolutely deadly close to goal.
