At least it means SSW may not feel so inclined to pull the plug shortly, and it increases the prospect of paying the CVA.

Well it's been quite a week so far, is there a corner to be turned?

If we can get the backing we need on this it will give the whole place a lift.

Don't anyone who believes in local politics take this the wrong way, but local concerns will mean nothing (provided we are not close to a local election).

It will all boil down to cold hard cash.  Given that Tesco was given the green light to develop and then expand I doubt that the Planning team would have much substance to turn down even a half decent application.  Residents may have concerns, and some may even be rightly held, but if the Council sees the green coming in then I can't see a Town Centre location being turned down.

It's only one councellor and most of the quotes used are from Justin Tomlinson.

The only indication from the council as a whole in the entire article is the plans  "have potential" and even then that's not a direct quote from anyone.

Early doors as yet but is encouraging to hear something.

Of course the cynic in me thinks, perish the thought, that JT is doing a bit of campaigning for the Local Tory leadership, now that Bawden has said he's standing down.

Also raises the profile of Anne Snelgrove a bit, and  our powers that be will need  a bone to throw to the slavering masses at the fans forum.

Incidentally if Holt is any sort of gent he'll ensure that SG doesn't have to do this as she'll be ripped to shreds.
