Piece of piss, 4-1.

Could be more people on the pitch than in the away end tomorrow. Tinpot fuckers.

agree with DMC, amazed if on. Itwas pretty cold last night, -5, and not much of a defrost today I'd imagine ...

I keep forgetting how cold it is in the UK

It's 9 degrees in Orkney today, not sure what all these southerners are moaning about.

Fun really, everyone always assumes it's colder further north, but the island thing tends to moderate both ends of the extremes.

As for this game, wouldn't really mind it being cancelled. Don't fancy playing Stevenage at all! Call it a draw and move on?

Indeed, all the  snow that's been on the ground most of the week here melted overnight, its a balmy 5 degrees in darkest Cumbria.

No chance this game will be on IMO, was in Swindon yesterday and it was -2 when we left this morning at 8am in West Swindon.

Unless there is a hge uplift in temps it will not be on.

Supposed to be up to 3 degs today and down to -3 overnight. Most importantly is that its supposed to be up to 5 degs tomorrow afternoon and not go below freezing in the evening and overnight.

Once its in the ground it needs a prolonged period above freezing to make much difference. Its not been below 0 here since Thursday night yet its only this morning it seems to have finally thawed a bit.

Here be the first recorded mention in history of anyone ever being excited to go to Swindon.

They have a roundabout where you can watch magic.

Hemel Hempstead had theirs first. And its got more mini-roundabouts on it.

Probably bitter over the fracas when he scored a last minute winner down there.

Very antagonistic stewarding to say the least had tensions high enough and then we score an equaliser. Their commentary losing their shit over it like they'd just seen a full on riot was amusing though, before they then start encouraging their players to dive.

Weird bunch.

There’s a lot that happened this day. As for the stewarding, these same stewards refused entry for a fan who had Parkinson’s, on the basis that they insisted this fan was drunk. Same stewards that then goaded fans in the ground.

Makes you wonder why one of those rearranged games isn’t being played tonight.

I noticed that there was some 'BEEF' between the Franchise and Bristol Rovers admins around ticket allocation disagreements. The Bristol Rovers admin said that opponents had to give 6 weeks notice for their ticket allocation desire. I am not sure if this is an actual league ruling or just something the club have in place. If it is a league ruling then that could help explain why the game hasn't been played any earlier. Either way, it puts a potentially huge game on under the lights during the run in.

Going back to tickets, I mean Stevenage aren't going to need the bank anyway so ticketing issues for that game should in theory be quite simple, although that said if we go on a huge run, the demand for our fans could be such that we may now need to think about opening the bank as we did towards the end of last season.

I saw a similar issue on our local nosy nextdoor app about tenants facing issues with pets. Apparently some legislation had been introduced to stop a blanket ban on tenants with pets.

https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/can-my-landlord-prevent-me-from-keeping-a-pet/#:~:text=A%20Tenant%20must%20seek%20the,request%20on%20its%20own%20merits.

Probably the same for most teams though in that scenario, we would probably sell x10 even times x20 as many tickets for Villa away as opposed to Stevenage away on a Tuesday night.

I know that’s not 60 v 2000 odd but it would have been odd if they only took 500 to Villa, they would be ridiculed for it

I left 6 when I moved down the coast, they're resourceful, they just rocked up at a house down the street.
Got attached to the little buggers.

We took over 5k for a league game in the 90's, which was our entire allocation.

I was there  8)
We took nearly 9k to Old Trafford in a cup tie, plus those I knew who got home end tickets  :D

It was an evening game too. Being half term helped as a lot of youngsters were able to make it.

I was living in Birmingham at the time of the Man united game and was jumped on by 2 "yoofs" at Piccadilly after the game as I was stood on my todd waiting to catch the train to New street.
I had a better result than the town that night  :smugfu:

What a good night that was. A lot of Man U fans went up as well in our end. OK maybe not a lot, I know of a few.

On the way home I got a puncture then nearly rear ended a tool reversing up the sliproad on the 417 exit as I exit. I reckon 10 seconds later I wouldn't have seen him in time round the corner and had an 80 mph+ closing speed accident. Not hood in an H reg Astra!

Still get chills using that exit. And the spine road, but that's a whole different story.

I remember it well but knowing what the Villa capacity is and that the maximum allocation for a cup game would be 15% it wouldn't be possible yo take 10,000 there. Not saying we wouldn't tho😀
