Title: Championship manager 01/02
Post by: Old_Town_Red on Friday, July 23, 2021, 13:48:06
Just discovered that you can download and play Championship Manager 01/02 legally and for free!

Wasted many hours on this game.

I find football manager TOO realistic and detailed to really enjoy it.

Downloaded and works great, with a patch. There are step by step instructions on how to do it.

Incoming Taribo West on a free transfer

It's good fun, a bit simplistic now but that's no bad thing. There's a modern day data patch out there too.

One of my lockdown 'projects' was amending the original db to have realistic potentials for players, but not change any of the current clubs etc.

Definitely not a bad thing being simplistic haha.

I saw the modern day patch which I may do once bored of the classic players (Cherno Samba).

My favourite CM was 99/00 but there are no legit reliable downloads available. Very tempting to find the disc somewhere and get an external disk drive for it, would need patching though as it had a bug.

The last Championship Manager before the split was when the series peaked for me. must have been 03/04. It was the perfect blend between the modern features without getting too in depth.

I just can't play football manager. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I've yet to find a guide that shows me.

Which makes it tempting to get Championship manager fired up...
