Can’t wait for the meltdown when people miss out.

A bragging thread should be started on here...especially for the two and three in a rowers...

Makes complete sense.

Yep seems sensible way of doing it. Not sure what else/better they could have done tbh

oooh.

thought they'd rotate, but it's complicated with some not wanting to go, some not able in tier 3

I thought a first refusal to season ticket holders on rotation and then ballet/sell spares would be better but this way is probably less admin/cost.

Doubt there'll be any spares.

As Ticketmaster seem to be doing the bulk of it I imagine they are rather limited in what they can offer, based on what Ticketmaster are offering them.

There are already a few non-season tickets holders foaming at the mouth on social media.

I could not quite believe what I reading, one person in particular was getting very irrate. People can be so moronic, unreasonable and very quickly angered

I hope it evens out and you don't miss three games on the trot etc, that might set me off.  :D I was hoping it will be split on rotation. We will see.

If you get a ticket through the ballot and can't go to the game, I assume you can pass it to someone else (like lending your season ticket to someone).  Anyone seen anything contrary to that?

"For any supporters who are issued a ticket but subsequently can no longer attend, we ask to please contact the ticket office so that we can issue the seat to another supporter who was unsuccessful in the ballot."

Will be interesting to see if 2,000 Season Ticket holders actually take up the offer.
No idea to how many we currently have.

I think it’s as fair as can be.

The old man and I have a season ticket each both registered to the same account and it's only coming up with an option to apply for 1 ticket. Any ideas?

Are us mere mortals going to get to see anything this season?
Might be worth going out for a substantial drink meal on matchday and try to recreate the days from last season.

Just had a thought (I know dangerous)...outdoor events are allowed back... Why don't clubs set up "fanzones" much like they do in cities etc during world cups?

Of course, socially distanced and limited ticketing but maybe for £20 you get to watch the match on a big screen a pint (or cold or hot drink) and a "substantial meal" (aka Scotch Egg/Veggie/Vegan Scotch Egg).

I know it is more of a Summer thing but would give a chance for clubs to make a bit more dosh safely and there's no such thing as bad weather. Plus would help ease the pain for those who missed out on a ticket in the ground?  :hmmm:

L1 and L2 crying poverty and then renting a big screen every two weeks (plus everything else) probably isn't a strong look.

I think we would use last years. Though with the current arrangements they will probably send out new tickets or email tickets

Maybe so, and I see your point completely but if it was government backed and the clubs had to repay a percentage of any profits back. It could be an optional extra.

I wouldn't know the detail on costs, really just trying to think of a way to get in some extra boda and create some kind of enjoyable environment. Paramount that safety is first and everything is "Covid-19 secure" but after that and within the terms of the tiered rules...why not try and get a few more fans out of their homes and to have an afternoon/evening to enjoy/look forward too.

Hell, there hasn't been too many occasions in 2020 where that has been the case :)

Also I can’t imagine anyone actually going right now.

I did say, it usually is more of a Summer thing but then again people (usually) go to these Winter Wonderlands (not Hyde Park one) and nearly every medium and above Town usually has a German style (ran by zero Germans) Christmas market that gets lapped up, as well as an open air Ice Rink in most places these days, so I'm not sure. I think quite a few might go. If it's there and it's something to do, they go.

'build it and they will come'

I think that quote above is from Gary Neville when talking about "Project Salford"  ;)

batch, RTFM

- qr  code, email or paper ticket issued for those not with email in database
- those missing out will be placed at top of ballot next time
- id needed and checked on entry for track and trace purposes

and we will aim for supporters who have been unsuccessful in one ballot, to be at the top of the next ballot

Anybody else had difficulty in being able to apply for the ballot? I've finally managed to login into my account & now it's telling me I'm ineligible to register for the Fleetwood & Charlton games!

I had to re-register and then managed to apply for both games.

Really strange. I only linked the account to my season ticket number earlier so should be pretty straightforward  from that point. Think I'll just have to e-mail the club for them to look into it.

Irony is that if it’s only season ticket holders, as of course it should be, the club will presumably lose money as there will be no extra income and the club will have to pay to facilitate.

yes. but they may now be able to claw some back through the rescue deal I guess as 'lost revenue'

The lost revenue is much less problematic than refunding ST holders.

Then they can select to go into the DRS.

I did wonder but assumed the DRS ticket holders that get selected would take most of the stand up once they have been spread out
