Anyone got a lockdown booze recommendation? Getting a bit bored of the usual tipple.

Considering I won't have to worry about rationing my stocks now, I'll be back on the gin, soda, and lemon.

Might have to be vodka and organge tomorrow, though, becasue I can't buy booze again until Sunday and my gin is low.

I’m saving myself for a lockdown lifting barbecue piss up of mammoth proportions next week.

Bought another bottle of Jura 10, which was supposed to be for this coming weekend but I've already necked it. Got a couple of bottles of shiraz and some peroni. Will be taking a break after that.

Maybe we should have a TEf zoom piss up. Get flashheart monged up at 8am

I've rinsed Tiny Rebel of most of their stock in the past month or so I think!

- Stay Puft, Marshmellow Porter
- Pump up the Jam, Jam Doughnut IPA
- Shake Down, Mango IPA

They have a few others that are decent as well. Haven't had much I didn't enjoy from them really!

In terms of beer, thankfully we have had an Asda delivery today as the house has been dry for 3 days bar gin! One bonus is that I bought a batch from Flovourly at the start and my missus really liked it so she has bought two more lots since!

I bought 24 cans of Neck Oil from Marks a few days ago. Didn't have Gamma Ray which was a shame. Cost me £40. Online, with delivery, would have cost me £60.


Happy days.

I'm on Vanilla Odin from Intrepid, very nice indeed.  One of my favourites so far this lockdown is Stouty McSoutface. Beautiful drop.

Where do you all purchase these beers I've never heard of?

A couple of bottles of Troutsniffer and Pimplebutt are going down nicely.

Had a nice gin and tonic and now tucking into a Dao.

Is White Lightening still available?

I think so. Diamond White as well...two and the same though. Like Frosty Jacks. Battering juice.

Don't do cans, never seems to taste the same,  gotta be in glass for me.    (Except in an emergency).

I sometimes get an urge for a lager specifically from a can. Just the one and I'm happy as Larry.

500ml 20% beer from Belgium.

Used to love a few cans of Diamond White back in the day, White Lightning was the poorer mans version I believe. I now favour the beautifully tasting but wickedly strong Henry Westons Special Vintage which at 8.2% makes Diamond White at 7.5% seem like Lucozade! 4 for £7 at the local Co Op is a decent price and plenty enough to get well oiled.

Of proper ales, then Old Specled Hen, Fullers ESB and Abbot Ale are all nice and tasty. Dont really do the strong hoppy modern  IPA's.

A blastaway? Seem to recall serving these in a bar in Rotherham early 90's.
