Conditions are far worse in Cheltenham, Plymouth etc. Bizarre decision.

The fact that the only other game called off in the top 4 divisions was Rochdale and their dodgy pitch, makes this postponement stand out as slightly iffy.

I reckon a fair few will get abandoned if they do start.

Ahh come on Berni it's only just about a Gale. High wind at best. The game wouldn't have been best but not really a farce. There have been many a game played in worse.

The safety element obviously concerns the ground fixtures/fittings but if Town needed an excuse to call it off then today would be the best disguise. I feel as other have said, this forecast has been consistently tracked and forecast. Very rare a "Michael Fish" happens these days, so they could've called it off this a.m

Bolton in the SF of the League Cup was the most annoying.

When you play in a purpose built wind tunnel, this is always likely.

If they were being canny they would have just called it off this morning, not an hour ahead, and they wouldn't be training today which is what Wellens said is happening.

Wellens says lots of things 😉 But also you've got to make it look like you're willing and prepared. Adds to the authenticity of it.

Let's agree to disagree, I can understand why it was called off late.  It shows we are having a good season when the only thing we have to complain about is that the game was called off at 2pm and not 1pm.

The weather will be a leveller in many games today.  Fingers crossed that some of our promotion rivals lose some of their advantage over lower placed teams and drop points.

Absolutely. I was angling for 12.15pm 😉 Looking forward to the Plym v Crewe match. Only one outcome can be "worse" case. A Crewe win. Even then, it will just make the gap between ourselves and 4th nicer. I still want a draw though :)

Listening to BBC Wilts it was called off by the stadium management team for the fans safety and nothing to do with Wellens

Having just driven home there are practically rivers running across the road that weren’t there when I was on the same road at 1pm. Amazing how quickly things can deteriorate.
