The stiffs are currently 2-2 at HT v Salisbury, goals from Parsons (yoot) and Isgrove, strong Town line-up of:

McCormick, Reid, Curran, Broadbent, McGilp, Rose, Lyden, Palmer, Isgrove, Muskwe, Parsons.

Amankwaah playing for Salisbury apparently

Not great, can tell we have a few first teamers out there trying to take it steady. McCormick could have done better for both goals.

@Official_STFC on twitter reckon not, won 3-2 in et, thru to final. Clearly our best chance of silverware this season so delighted to progress, now face a tough derby in the final against Supermarine #mustWinGame #allOurHopesInOneBasket

Yep, nice, as underdogs, to get that win tonight. Boosts confidence ahead of Saturday's 6 pointer.
Let's not get carried away, though.

Decent game with main plus being the return to form of Lloyd Isgrove, who looked threatening throughout his 60 minute appearance, capped off by a superb solo effort to put us 2-1 up. Also useful contributions from Lydon - 60 minutes also - and Rose in midfield, the latter playing all 120 minutes.

Defence looked very shaky, not together unsurprising given that it comprised Reid, Curran, Broadbent and McGilp in the first half. Improved in the 2nd half when youngster Anthony Cheshire - who I was impressed with, looking very composed in possession - came on for Curran. Reid also improved, using his pace and power to good effect. I think there's a player there somewhere, just needs to gain confidence.

Main disappointments were Palmer and Muskwe. Palmer in particular concerned me, looking very lightweight, being easily knocked off the ball when in possession. He did play some decent passes, but I think it will be a while before we see him pressing for a place in the first team. Also he went off with a knock  when we had already made our 3 subs. Muskwe clearly has pace and some trickery at his disposal, but missed 3 gilt edged opportunities, although he did score the winner with a deflected shot.

The only other concern was McCormick struggling with a slight groin problem, hopefully it wont keep him from being on the bench on Saturday.
