Title: Ross Embleton manager of Orient
Post by: Jimmy HaveHave on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, 14:22:11
Ross Embleton has been appointed the new manager of Leyton Orient having worked under Justin Edinburgh. It will be interesting to see how he gets on next season and what sort of welcome he gets at the County ground

Ill be honest I cant imagine his reception at the county ground being anymore than 'meh'.

A very minor footnote in our history.

He did take a lot of abuse towards then and his Dad was assaulted in the Arkells so probably not many good memories here

Other than having a few minor fall outs vocally with some Town fans during matches, Crawley away I think was one.

Otherwise he was a very minor footnote in Swindons history.

Not even a footnote.

If Williams had a more experienced number 2 he may have had a chance

If he had, he’d have been a number 2 himself.

I'd go further, most won't even notice.

Wimbledon away I recall he had more than a few words with Town fans

That was it, I knew it was a crappy Londonish small ground with the fans close to the dugouts.

Good luck to him. Was this GBH or a gentle shoulder barge at the bar?!

He was a bit of a tit. Spent the match giving fans the death stare rather than doing his job (whatever that was).

A small collection of our fans were absolutely horrendous that day towards the players/bench.

Agreed, the arguments I saw Embleton having were after the game towards the end where the town fans were in seats. Thumping the badge on his coat. Wasnt close enough to hear what was being said but you could see it was heated.

He was assistant coach/manager when Luke Williams was in charge.

I met Ross a few times and he's a really nice guy. Ended up in the same hotel as the squad for the Cov away game and he made the effort to come and chat with us. Just didn't work out for him here.

The abuse he got was disgusting

Did someone not verbally abuse his dad as well when he was here?

I do find it odd some people don't know that.

To be honest its typical football fan behaviour, love to dish it out then squeal like a baby when someone says something back.

Can't remember any of our assistant managers tbh- Noel Hunt will stay in the mind after this management leaves as he's a famous former player- like Poyet

Don't get personal....that's the key.

The season was absolute dog shit.....I won't thank him or Williams for that.

He and Luke can fuck off with a few quid and indeed in his case go on to better things, we are fucking lumbered!

Good luck to him ...apart from playing us home and away.
