The wife orders stuff from them all the time, you get exactly what you pay for, cheap and cheerful and doesn't last that long, sometimes delivery can take a month sometimes a few days.

If its what you want and a price you like then do it, shes only had 1 non delivery from about 40+ items ordered and they refunded her.

Cheers,  Pete. A quick gander on line put me off, so I deleted thread! You have been helpful,  even though I may have inadvertently made your post look odd!

Ignore what?!

This raises an interesting, philosophical point.  Is it possible to ignore something if you don't know what you're meant to be ignoring?

It is interesting.... I've a bit of time for Julian Cope, more for his archaeology enthusiasm, but some of the music is decent.

He likes to be ignored, so his theory is the more outlandish you look, the more people won't notice you.

if a donkey wants to be ignored when nobody else is around,  is he still ignored?

That would depend upon whether or not ignoring something can be a passive act, or if it is necessarily conscious.

This is how I imagine Donkey at games analysing our strike force....

ignore
/ɪɡˈnɔː/
verb

refuse to take notice of or acknowledge; disregard intentionally

This definition suggests the latter.  But another definition is given simply as 'fail to consider', which suggests the opposite.  I'm guessing that the word derives from 'ignorant', and you can remain ignorant of something whether you're aware of it or not.

The full definition seems to imply both can be used, although it is a tad ambiguous.

In this context, I'd say it would have to be a conscious decision. After all, 'Ignore this' is a command. Which sort of brings us full circle. What if Donkey had used said command on a forum where he is the only member and nobody else would see it?

Although it may look like a command, it was more a suggestion...

I presume he was asking if it's OK to order from Love Honey or something? Along those lines and went all shy about it  :-[ :hmmm:

A bit like Gerald Stilton on the old Trust forum.... where Stalk Stalk used to do his work before Ells.

Are SRK and Gerald Stilton related ?
