Title: Fitness smartwatch recommendations Post by: Simon Pieman on Thursday, May 24, 2018, 15:06:55 Not for me obviously :D
A colleague in my team i leaving and is into walking, running, cycling and swimming. Did a triathlon last year etc. Can a decent GPS fitness watch with good and meaningful tracking stats be had for under £200? Title: Re: Fitness smartwatch recommendations Post by: pauld on Thursday, May 24, 2018, 15:33:02 Yes, definitely. Polar M430 or if you want music onboard the M600. I have an M600 and I love it - ugly but does the job really well and it's waterproof for swimming which is handy for triathletes.
Amazon have the M600 for £170 if you don't mind a white wristband or £195 if you want it in black. They have the M430 for around £150 TomTom running watches are cheaper but discontinued so support may start to phase out and while the watches themselves are decent the supporting ecosystem (app, website etc) are crap. Whereas Polar's are really good. Garmin are the most popular running watches but not so good value as Polar IMO There's a good review of what's available here: https://the5krunner.com/2017/02/20/best-running-watch/ Title: Re: Fitness smartwatch recommendations Post by: Simon Pieman on Thursday, May 24, 2018, 16:02:54 Thanks Paul!

Excellent for the price and you can get them on Amazon for around £130 Title: Re: Fitness smartwatch recommendations Post by: Batch on Friday, May 25, 2018, 08:56:56 Garmin Forerunner 35 Excellent for the price and you can get them on Amazon for around £130 Is that waterproof? Do like my Garmin Fenix 3, use it for pool swimming, running and cycling. But its outside budget.
