Title: Easter games Post by: Tails on Thursday, March 29, 2018, 12:39:27 How many points do we need?
How many will we realistically get? Honestly, I think anything less than 4 could be game over. 6 points is definitely achievable (particularly with what looks like a 4 figure away crowd at Crawley). I've noticed Brown has said he wants to come out "all guns blazing" but also how he "loves a 1-0". So... I'm not really sure how that works? At least we've got some players back...... Either way I will be at both, so I fully expect 2 defeats :D Title: Re: Easter games Post by: The Artist Formerly Known as Audrey on Thursday, March 29, 2018, 12:41:12 When was the last time we actually stuffed someone at home? I’m getting my tickets this afternoon and expect the full 6 points.
We’ll be in the mix come Monday. Title: Re: Easter games Post by: Tails on Thursday, March 29, 2018, 12:45:50 The last convincing win I can think of was probably Charlton at home last season, 3-0.
Title: Re: Easter games Post by: Bob's Orange on Thursday, March 29, 2018, 12:51:12 I really hope we give it a fucking good go in both Easter games. Let’s give Morecambe a pasting, early goal(s) important and then eek out a scrappy 1-0 win at Crawley.
Title: Re: Easter games Post by: Batch on Thursday, March 29, 2018, 12:51:57 4 is absolute minimum for me.
I worry that if the gap is still 4 points (gd) with 6 to go it's game over Title: Re: Easter games Post by: Peter Venkman on Thursday, March 29, 2018, 13:04:05 Morecambe will be hard to beat with only 1 defeat in the last 8 games and that was away at Accrington.
Creepy on the other hand have lost their last 2 home games and not won for 6 matches, they are also prepared to lose Kewell over the weekend to Charlton which may unsettle the ship. https://www.kentlive.news/sport/football/football-news/crawley-town-bracing-themselves-harry-1391982 We need 4 points from the next 2 games at least to stand any chance of making the playoffs. Title: Re: Easter games Post by: worcesterrobin on Thursday, March 29, 2018, 17:43:04 If we are to get into the play offs I think we need 17 more points and so 6 over Easter would put us in with a great chance of achieving that, anything less and it would be very difficult.
Title: Re: Easter games Post by: Oaksey Moonraker on Friday, March 30, 2018, 11:21:47 I was thinking when was the last time we had nothing to play for at Easter. I reckon it would be 2007/8 under Malpas. Since then we have either been chasing promotion or the play offs or trying to avoid relegation!

Sent from my HTC U11 Realistically, 15/16 at Easter we had 50 points, about 7 or 8 off the PO's with 6 or 7 to go. I know mathematically there's still a chance but it just never happens that way. We lost 6-0 at Scunny on the Monday. Of the XI that day perhaps 4 or 5 were acceptable Div 3 standard players. Most now in the Confernce or below.
