Do you think having a doughnut for breakfast is wrong.

I mean it is, really, but its good fuel for running later, right?

Only ok if the donut is warm still IMO.

I have a cake for breakfast every day with my coffee.

They'll announce how good it is for you in a few years, I swear it.

I have a spoonful of apple and blackberry compote on my porridge in the morning.  It's home made. I didn't know what compote was before but a friend made it and she's posh. I've just finished the jar  :(

For god's sake, you're all completely off topic.  Discipline needed.

Has it been confirmed yet whether Harry will be getting married in a British Amy uniform or a Nazi SS uniform?

I like the fact that their offspring will be eligible to run for the USA Presidency.  The odd fascination with this side of the Royal family over here means they would probably win as well.  It has taken a few years but revenge is always best served cold.

Ha it yet to be confirmed that she meets all the immigration rules to be allowed to come over here, marry a UK citizen and be allowed to stay?

The latter would be in line with the family roots.

On a serious note how many of you lot would actually go to Wembley if we made it? A boycott is a boycott for me. Having attended every JPT home game (plus Newport away twice) prior to the U23's being brought into the format, I haven't been to any since & wouldn't be on the Wembley bandwagon if we made it.

My view is that if you're boycotting a competition then you boycott it completely. No use people staying away then all turning up and spending £££ on tickets, food and whatever else at Wembley as that undermines the whole effort.

I'd love to see two teams get to the final and take even less than Blackpool did for last year's play-offs.

Agreed but I'd love to see two under 21 teams get to the final - hopefully small clubs and Northern. That way, no crowd and less money to the league clubs.
The quicker this abomination is killed the better.

Wouldn’t have have gone to another final under the old format as the competition was pointless for me even then

went to the Chesterfield one.  agree old format was pointless.  it did bring in some extra money for the club. just about.  it also did what it said on the tin. a competition amongst respected (Pox aside) lower league clubs.

checkatrade is somehow even more pointless than pointless.  it is also a kite flyer for entry into the football league by big clubs' second teams.  and an opportunity for the greedy to suck up yet more talent for themselves.  no way would I attend.

The Wembley replacement is a horrible space, you can't boycott and then go to the final.  I could forgive the Cov lot last season mind, as they are in a  unique situation.

I'm fairly sure we won't have to wrestle with the decision mind.  What is presently starting to get my angst going is should I boycott the WC  :hmmm: the draw is tomorrow, although I'm sure the outcomes have already been decided.

 Qatar definitely.

Anyone going out there to catch a game or two is very brave.

I see England are eyeing up a base "near" Leningrad.
Still in the middle of nowhere though.
No doubt the locals will have been pressed into removing the discarded vodka bottles that litter the area around the training pitches come June.

Also our defeats at the new wembley have doubled each time.....

0-1 Millwall L1 P.O Final: Could've won it. (Charlie's bobble which could have made a difference and we played in white. Most other players had already pre agreed deals to leave. Belly Paynter. So most of the team didn't "turn up".) Actually felt sad for Wilson.

0-2 Chesterfield JPT Final: A team you thought would be up for it (considering all of PDC's passion and work ethic put into it. He made the smallest battle seem important.). A match we should've won, but for some reason, call it complacency. The team didn't turn up. Actually felt sad for Paolo.

0-4 P.N.E L1 P.O Final: A match which should've been finely balanced and a true event of two teams worthy of being in the Championship. After vowing to never go again due to two previous no shows, I truly believed we would turn up and perform. Even P.N.E fans weren't so confident. NT should never have played and there was the warning sign. A shell shocked team over awed by the occasion from start to finish. Sitting behind friends of Nathan Byrne, they felt embarrassed (not by his performance, he was one of the few that had any kind of effort in the match) by the overall performance. I stayed to the bitter bitter end. I admit. I cried. I vowed "never again". In football terms that was trauma. The team didn't turn up. Actually felt sad for Cooper.

So what if we make Wembley in this tournament or via the play offs. None of the matchday squad that were there last time are around now. If trend shows then we'll get beaten 8-0. Last time was too much for me. Maybe if we make the Checkatrade Final we can reverse the "New Wembley" and lose it say 2-0. I would consider going to the play off final if the players have had a taste for it in a town shirt. Maybe even losing 1-0 would still be sickening and the only thing that wold make me go this time is that this team, at least for the most part, does actually work hard.

Who knows? By the way, I like toasted bagels for breakfast.

This is almost the same as for my son, the only difference being we took him to the old Wembley to watch Chippenham so he’s P4 L4 and 8-0 on aggregate.

If we got there in the boycott trophy I wouldn’t go, but would go if we made the playoffs (or FA Cup :) )

FA Cup trip to Wembley is a distinct possibility if we beat Stevenage Saturday then draw Spurs away in the 3rd round.

In all fairness, Russia is safer than a lot of places in the world. Safer than the US and UK for starters, if we're talking "terrorism to city security" ratios. I don't have all the figures off the top of my head but there is an interesting write up from about 5 years ago, written by a guy who has lived in all three places. http://akarlin.com/2011/04/national-comparisons-1/ (http://akarlin.com/2011/04/national-comparisons-1/)

I could also add in the recent Dolphins vs Saints game that I attended with a Dolphins supporting colleague to make the record even worse.

Wasn't thinking so much about the terror threat.
Although it's impressive that sites of attacks over there are up and running again after a day or so.
Then again they have the luxury of being able to round up a few random Chechens on which to pin the blame.

Apparently Vlad has had a personal word with the leaders of the main hooligan groups and advised them to leave visitors alone next summer.
This will leave local plod free to have the first pop as and when they want.
Hopefully visiting fans will only have to negotiate the lack of accommodation, poor transport links and the army of budding entrepreneurs looking to relieve them of their spending money.

Who knows if I can survive the trip to Lincoln, then might look at catching a game in Kaliningrad, where the mayor has advised the locals to try and avoid kicking the shit out of visiting fans if possible.

And to keep on topic I bet the fans of Spartak Vladikavkaz wouldn't boycott their equivalent of the EFL Trophy. If they had one.  :(

Boycott stands for me, I was shocked that the League had the arrogance to carry on with the format for this season.

The joke gates were getting lots of coverage this season but not so much this season...shame that.

I went to loads of these games over the seasons...Exeter, Newport twice, Hereford, Barnet twice and even Malpas last game in charge at Brighton.

I would watch a Wembley final on the box with the lads in the pub but that's as far as I would push it.

Don't think I'd attend a checkatrade final. I'm not even sure I should go to Wembley full stop. At the old Wembley I only ever saw one game which was England 2-0 Scotland in Euro 96 which was fantastic (especially as I was 7 at the time) But at the new Wembley... I've been 5 times, 3 times for Town and twice as a neutral. Whatever end I've been in that team has not only lost but hasn't scored either.
