Title: Vote
Post by: 1989Monkey on Friday, October 27, 2017, 21:06:39
A good mate of mine leads the Swindon Samaritans and they are competing for a small amount of funding. Please could we use the power of the Townend to boost their votes.

It takes less than a minute to register and each person has 10 votes to use

Thanks in advance to anyone that votes

Great post. The ACF could be a handy application for my project. I'll check out your friends.

Thanks Kev, it certainly is a great little initiative, but the voting is always close for the winners so anyone else that can register and vote for this particular project will be greatly appreciated.

A good deed may result in a good cup run starting next week!

Samaritans is a great service nationally and does so much. We need places like this to continue to be a service provision for anyone who needs it. Big respect to your mate. I'm starting mine from the very bottom and I know how much of a struggle (sadly) it is to get any kind of funding for mental health based initiatives. This is why these private funds can be a lifeline even if we would like some more kind of funding security. I will get there though. I'll be voting for your mates branch anyway :)

Will vote and pass it on, I volunteered for the Samaritans for a while and the job they do is invaluable.
What you're doing sounds really interesting bamboo, I've put a few pennies in (or I will do when my wifi works :))

Is there any charity in the UK that hasn't applied to the Aviva Community Fund, its understandable that you get 10 votes as this is about the 20th group I have been asked to vote for....   ???

Had some 3rd party dealings with the Samaritans and they are great so will get a vote.
