Title: Port Vale (A)
Post by: Ardiles on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, 09:13:01
I'm assuming that we'll be able to buy tickets on the day.  Does anyone know if that is correct?

Tried calling Port Vale (main number and the ticket office) to confirm, but the line goes dead and does not connect.  Bit strange.

Would assume so - no chance of us getting close to selling out! Ask the STFC Store on Twitter, they'll know for sure

They’ve already got 10 pages on their Matchday Thread. Apathy doesn’t reign everywhere.

Form team... have looked into the abyss and found a pair of saviours.

It always happens when the big guns come to town. Surprised the home end isn't a sell out already.

:) :)

We haven't had a visit from Robbie Earle's Perm yet, either he's allowed apathy to get to him or he's decided there's no-one new on the TEF, to answer his questions, who has not done it before  :hmmm:

£20 in advance, £22 on the day apparently. There'll be loads available - the away end is massive!

They must be red hot favourites Reg, wouldn't you say?  ;)

On form yes.  However Wycombe were odds on at the bookies to win at the CG and didn't, so you never know.

And we're ace away  :)

It really is bizarre how different our home and away form have been. We're second in the league for away games (won 5/7), behind Accrington who are a point ahead but have played a game more.

Vale have won 1/7 at home, and 3/8 away.

Well they weren’t were they? They were around the 6/4 mark to win on Saturday and we were about the same so not even close to odds on.

I'm only going on what Audrey posted, I'm not a betting man, but he seems to be...

Quote
21/10 for a home win. Wycombe 5/4 favs. Sad indictment, but I’ve taken some of the 21/10 with the hope we surely can’t carry on being turd at home.

So favourites at least.

They certainly were 21/10 on Friday. I doubled us up with the other STFC.

I know the price dropped when it became known Wycombe were without 3 players and couldn’t even name a full bench.

Got proof of that?

I’d be stunned if we were over 2/1 for a home game, sort of price you get for a bottom v top game

We were 3/1 to beat Lincoln. My mate Dave lost a tenner.

We are close to bottom  of the home table so bookies will look at that

Hey up Reg!

Glad to see you were waiting for me, a thread with questions will be up shortly if you or anyone else would like to join in and take part?  :bye:

Got a heads up from a Vale fan that there is an EDL march in Burslem around 2pm. How that got the go ahead with a game on I’ll never know.
