Signed him on FM mobile 2016 for us and he turned into a very solid defender captaining the side to the championship title.

Which is weird, as he only signed a contract here til the end of the season. Maybe hoping for better things but nothing came up?

In his interview he said something about it taking a long time for the right club to come along, and about DF's desire to develop players being important. Makes me wonder if he wanted somewhere where they'd be willing to play him, coach him and let him go when the chance to step up comes along. Let's hope he looks a bit too good for this division.

I think he needs a good preseason.

From Walsall fan

'Good player, I really liked him and was sad we didn't keep him. Fast, strong, physical and good in the tackle, especially 50/50's - can get caught out positionally though and his distribution is pretty poor. '

Sounds like Jerel Ifil...

Distribution is most certainly not a requirement of the centre backs this year.

Just looked if Jerel was still playing somewhere, he isn't but he seems to be enjoying his post football career by the sounds of it....

2 more quotes from the Walsall forum.

Quote
That's the move I assumed he'd make on leaving Walsall rather than going straight to Tamworth as everyone on this forum was seemingly advising him to go to :soapy tit wank:

Very surprised at that? after most on here predicting him playing for the hussey arms in brownhills  ??? but good luck to the lad i think he deserves it

Sounds promising, a fair way from the finished article but still young at 22 lets hope he can be coached to becoming a very good additon.

There's a video of him outrunning Rico Henry who is no slouch. Good to have a little bit of pace back there. Not as much as a 'footballer' as Conroy but sounds better than Robertson

If a centre-back pairing of Preston and Lancashire doesn't say everything you need to know about the abandonment of the Luke Williams way...

Lee Power way I would say. I wouldn't say anyone really even knows what the Luke Williams way is apart from giving really dross post match press conferences for a performance you had barely any input in. At least he is back to youth coaching now.
