Decided it's not that bad if you put your thumb over the shorts and just focus on the top. The shorts on their own are okay as well. They just don't seem to match.

full backs trying to push on, hussey seems to have good delivery.

fitness not issue for 45 mins but it's been fairly simple going.

no real hard tackle going in, so hard to judge our hard men

I love kits that are different - so like the look of the away one. Although hate kits that have patterned fronts and plain backs

1st half:
I thought Hussey did well getting forward from left back and putting good deliveries.
Slew worked hard and showed a few good touches.
Goddard did OK, as did Thomas. Can't really judge the back line, did what they had to but didn't have much to do.

2nd half:
Not as good. Was not impressed with cece whatsit, seemed none to mobile and a little unsure (Vigs talking to him a lot). Maybe that's hash, maybe he's not fully fit, maybe there is a lot more to come.

Not sure what else to say, first game back, good workout but ultimately very comfortable. Lots of changes and a convincing win.

Spent almost as much time queuing for a beer as I did watching the game but from what I saw we could be in for an entertaining season. Style of play is much faster than the last few seasons and we actually looked like a well drilled team, despite the fact it's very early.
I know you can't gauge anything on a pre season friendly against non league opposition, but I'm looking forward to the start of this season much more than I was to the last.

Have you seen the new Wycombe Wanderers goalie kit? Very mid-90s.

Yes. It literally got released about 8 hours after we'd been talking about early-mid 90s patterned keeper kits

First half thought Hussey was the stand out player, has a good cross on him.  Movement off the ball, forward passes, sticking it into row (well out of the stadium) if there was danger, totally different from what we have seen in the past couple of years. Lots of passing, was definitely not long ball.

Ok only Supermarine but there was a lot of running about, good amount of goals and a really good turnout from the fans which was nice to see

I have tried to like away kit, I really have. Lot's of other people seem to like it so I feel as though I'm missing out. I've even tried it in a 'It's so bad it's good' kind of way, but it's not quite bad enough to be that good. Maybe it'll grow on me? I can't see it.

I'm sure we had something similar in the 90s - in fact, I had it. Burmah were the sponsors. Definitely green although I can't quite remember the actual design.

well yeah, but all our home kits have been red for decades!

I don't normally pay too much attention to kits and that sort of thing, but had a look due to debate on here and that really is a shocker.

I'm not good with colours, due to red/green colour blindness, but know when something doesn't work.

  The potato print was a third kit from memory, I quite liked it.

 Another recentish shocker, which someone more knowledgeable, might recall, was a sort of horrible off gold and possibly black or dark blue vertical stripes combo.

The ol' potato kit was the standard away kit.

It does look like your quintessential 90's third kit though.

The bee kit, that was bloody horrible. Along with the Mars Bar kit from the Kingswood sponsor year.

I've managed to convince myself that I like the black and white badge. It's a start.

That's the one. We've never been a proper stripes team.... away colour historically was blue, but a bit of green is acceptable for early historical reasons.
