Title: Re: STFC FITC Post by: Ginginho on Friday, December 1, 2017, 09:02:37 They're looking for new recruits for the next group of Football Fans In Training, starting end of January, details below.
I'm on the current course and it's very worthwhile. I've lost 9kgs in 10 weeks and feel a lot fitter. https://www.swindontownfc.co.uk/news/2017/november/sign-up-for-football-fans-in-training/ Title: Re: STFC FITC Post by: Sippo on Friday, December 1, 2017, 09:37:08 How much is it? And do you have to be a fatty to do it? I would be interested in the training part of it, and not necessarily to lose weight.

I’ve contacted them and they have said they accept younger people too so I am tempted to do it although at 28 don’t want to be silo’d as the ‘kid’

One of the guys that did our course was 29 when he did it as he was a big chap. He lost approx 15kgs. I lost 2 stone doing it and another half stone after and have kept it off for 6 months. The biggest issue is my knees are shot to the extent I can't really kick a ball/do much impact exercise past walking. cycling/eliptical is ok. it's there any point in me looking at this when the old bloke group next have space? |
