With demand always high for a player sponsorship, the club have introduced a new away kit sponsorship for the 2016/17 season. Although designed to be a secondary sponsorship to the home package, it is still a unique way to support Swindon Town.

I have run this for the past 2 years and am happy to pass this to somebody else if anyone wants it.  If there are no volunteers or if you want me to run it again I am happy to do so, let me know your thoughts.

Yeah I'll setup a poll,  I just wanted to gauge the feeling so that I can respond on the Yasser question.  Also whether we can manage to get the £650.

The deadline is if we want the first refusal on Yasser, they know they won't get £650 out of us by the 20th, more a case of me letting them know.  Last year I paid a deposit and then the rest once collections were in near the start of the season.

Can somebody make sure the contracted players thread is up to date and I will setup the poll over the next 24 hrs.

I will respond to the club that we are in but want someone different, if everyone is ok with that?

Considering I was only notified on Friday, and posted about this on Saturday I gotta say the response has been a tad impressive.

In 3 days we have drummed up £650 worth of contributions, run a poll and chosen our player, got our player confirmed by the club and collected over half of that money (currently £330).

Pretty impressive for a bunch of piss heads, smack heads and cunts on a 3rd division teams football forum.  You can all pat yourself on the back. :clap:

I will likely pay the majority of this to the club this week (maybe £400) and then look to pay the rest at the end of the month after payday for those that need the time.

Yes you are correct with the £10 for one name and £20 for 2 names.  We have got the £650 we need at the moment, so I can put you on reserve if we have a non-payer, or you can split with someone that is already in for £20.

A night  with Swindon Town Football Club !

 

Firstly, thank you for sponsoring John Goddard for the 2016/17 season and for your continued support of Swindon Town Football Club.

 

A date for this year’s Player and Management Shirt Sponsors’ Dinner has now been set and will take place on the evening of Tuesday 21st February 2017 between  7pm – 11pm.

 

The Legends Lounge at the County Ground will once again be the venue with BBC Wiltshire’s Shaun Hodgetts and Hall of Fame inductee Sam Parkin hosting the event. The evening will consist of a two-course meal followed by refreshments. There will also be a selection of great auction and raffle prizes up for grabs on the night as well.

 

Throughout the evening, players will be presenting their respective sponsors with a replica of this season’s home shirt. Photo opportunities with players will also be available.

 

As a 2016/17 player sponsor, you will receive four complementary tickets to the event for you to attend with three guests. Additional guests are also welcome at a price of £30pp (including VAT).

 

If you wish to attend this year’s Sponsors’ Dinner, please confirm places and for any additional guests by 16th February 2017. An itinerary  for the evening will follow in due course.

There are some rules around this prize though.  I think it has to be used before the end of the season, and they stipulate for certain days of the week, unless the player himself is flexible (which I guess means lives locally and has no problem with turning up at a time that you are after) so if you have an idea of what you want to use it for it might be worth starting to talk to the club about it.

I'm afraid after much prolonged discussion with the club, it looks like I'll be unable to use this, so throwing it back into the pot for Berniman to re-distribute as he sees fit. Restrictions are:
1) Has to be done before end of season
2) Can't be on player's day off (Wed)
3) Can't be on a match day or day after

All quite sensible restrictions and no complaints at all about that (and huge thanks to Adam for his help in trying to arrange it) but unfortunately meant I wasn't able to use it, so hopefully one of you lot will be able to.

I contributed (I think), and actually know a group of lads with Down's Syndrome who would potentially love a visit from JG to one of their football sessions or the like so if it's going...

I'd say get him to go into one of the local schools to help with a 'PE' session or to give a talk, I know NT has done it previously and my lad come home and told me so kids do like seeing stfc players, but the above sounds like a much better idea
