Adver are running their Player of the Season, out of curiosity, who wins your vote?

Beaker is most improved player for me this season so I vote for him.

Same as the last vote I went for Obika but I guess Ajose will probably win it.

Obika for me. We have fuck all about us when he's not involved.

Obika for me. If one of him or Ajose must leave us this summer, I would prefer to keep Obika.

Surprised to see votes concentrated around only three players. Do five different people think an Anton Rodgers vote would be a laugh, or has he got the family involved?

I voted for Obika. Purely because I voted for Ajose in the other poll and I think John deserves recognition for his contribution this season.

I personally would give it to Ajose or Obika without them we'd have been fooked.

Take them out of the team and it's the worst squad in living memory.

But they're were in the team so we're ooooookay.

He only played half a season.

That doesn't really make sense as they are in our squad and our squad has been built based on them being part of it! That's like saying Barcelona would be rubbish without MSN up front!

In any case we've had worst squads than this. Off the top of my head just since 2000:
99/00 division 1 relegation squad was awful 2nd half the season. We had players like Grazioli, Steve Cowe, Michael Meaker, Charlie Griffin,Jimmy Quinn (at 40!) etc and went something like 20 games without a win.
2000/2001 Colin Todds team of random signings like Cobian, Heiselberg, Tuomela etc followed by King specials Richard Dryden, Jim Whitley, Lightbourne and still some of the previous seasons dross.
2005/2006 is by far the worst though Thorpe, Colin Heath, Patrick Collins, Comyn-platt, Shakes, Pook, Trev Benjamin, Reeves, Whalley, Rhys Evans, Chris McPhee, Mikolanda.... A truly awful team! Forest away being utterly embarrassing.

People have really gone overboard when it comes to this seasons squad, we've had much worst.

Add some good players to the squad, and it could be one of the best in living memory.....

After we won the 4th tier title under PDC not so long ago, I actually saw an Oxford fan on twitter commenting that we would not be good if it were not for the players we had.  :suicide:

To be fair, you can't say he's wrong on that one. I mean if we'd have just let a load of squirrels loose on the pitch or something there's no way we would have won it so comfortably.

Ajose beat Obika to the official Adver vote by 1%

Adver are not allowed to present Ajose with the trophy, same as last season with Turnbull.

The Adver's parent company won some sort of innovation award, so surely they must have some ideas on how to do it anyway.

And why should they? Tit for tat. God, this little one-man war on the local media is tiresome.

They can report whatever the fuck they like, it's their business. If they are playing tit-for-tat though then they can forget about using any 'reporting for the people' line. Although I'm more inclined to think it's just incompetence.
