Title: Albert Brind
Post by: inept and tiresome on Friday, October 23, 2015, 15:21:53
was a tad upset, handing his season ticket back to the club. Citing poor performances and lack of team spirit for his gripe.
The club declined to comment, as per page two of the Adver.
I can't blame him, if I'm honest.

Really? As previously stated, what an absolute weapon and an embarrassment to the club and the town. He reckons he's been a fan for years? Jeez, surprised he survived the early 2000s - admin, Diamandis, Colin Todd - without throwing himself off a bridge.

Prick.

I doubt anyone laughed at him in the face of such a hard-hitting and bold statement. Most attempts fans have at making a stand of this nature come across as cringy, pathetic and melodramatic.

I get why people occasionally have a bit of a momentary breakdown.

But the fact that the guy went home, collected more merchandise, then walked back to the CG to throw it at the stadium suggests he genuinely didn't sober up and realise he was being a bit of a tit, and then giving interviews... I think I'd just keep my head down in the circumstances.

What does it actually achieve the guy has already bought his season ticket and the £1,000's of pounds worth of merchandise, he has now returned to the lub and they can sell it again win win I suppose for all!

I assume this is the guy who was on BBC Wiltshire so he has also had his 5 minutes of fame...

In fairness I've got as far as throwing my shirt in the bin and swearing never to go back (Cheltenham away under King). Lasted a good few hours.

It's very easy to support the team when they're doing well.

If he was a pup, I may understand his ridiculous decisions.
But he's clearly in his 50's and should just grow the fuck up, what an absolute thundercunt.

I'll be there tomorrow, I expect us to lose.

Well done Albert for showing how you feel. ::)

Perhaps, just perhaps there are more people feeling as he does...

This almost must be one of the worst down turns in form STFC has had in recent years.

Coupled with the PR disasters with local media... and surely that is a worry ?

Suggest LP has one hell of a job rebuilding confidence within the club and community as a whole.

Good luck tomorrow.

One of the first things that Jeremy Corbyn did as LP leader was to flag up the need for more money to be spent on mental health...clearly Albert has had a breakdown and needs help. A caring owner would have invited Albert into the team huddle before the game today....I suspect Power votes Tory.

Quite.  Article suggests he's been watching since Macari...but I'm not so sure.  There's a lot else in there that suggests Albert's actually quite new to football.

Rubbish. Passion is for the bedroom - you don't want players running round with an Albert Brind style red mist. You want players who are calm, confident, committed and under control. And the same on the touchline - the idea that players are "inspired" by some windmilling loon bellowing at them and threatening them for 90 minutes is ridiculous.

Title: Re: Albert Brind

Quite how Albert's spectacular tantrum is a demonstration of passion remains a mystery to me. There's something peculiarly British about applying the word "passionate" to someone who will be spending their Saturday afternoons sitting in an empty room.

Until of course he executes a perfectly guiltless volte face once we string together a few wins.

Opening day of the 2003 season, a guy stormed down the Don Rogers when we conceded our 3rd against Sheffield Wednesday and threw his paper season ticket down on the touchline before storming off. About 5 minutes later he sheepishly came back and collected it. I wonder if that was Albert?

It's only a crime if you boo the UEFA "anthem". If you're booing a black player for being black for example, or making monkey noises etc, that's perfectly fine.
