Title: Student Discount
Post by: Jimmy Glass is an Alien on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, 12:13:34
I'm looking into ways that I can get an NUS card without the need to rack up £000's worth of debt!

Unidays, which I understand to be what was formally NUS cards, require you to have an email address linked to the institution you study at to verify their registration process. Aside from getting somebody within a educational institution to set me up an email address, how else can I register as a student to enjoy the discounts they receive?

Are you still in financial services? If you're a CII member, you can get an NUS card. I have one and it's already paid for itself with 50% off of Spotify premium :)

It may be that some online courses come with University email accounts? I certainly got one for an evening course.

You want a student discount without actually being a student? Isn't that like... Fraud?

Either not explained very well, or yes fraud.

So, you're advocating fraud too?

I assume that you were not claiming to be studying English in your fake university course (I am sorry I couldn't resist!)

I am Sam. I'm looking to take some more qualifications soon, so I guess if one of the benefits is an NUS card then great.

I've read something like this before but was unsure which courses or institutions to choose.
