Don't like the way we play. We were caught out by Christmas Las year and feel its going to be a struggle this season.
Strangely I find myself with another season ticket and can only hope beyond hope that we survive and compete.
Best result today a 0 0 draw as goals may be hard to come by.
I hope I'm wrong and all the positive heads up in the cloud's/arse types have got it right.

Do you not go Bracknell way? I never go m25/m4 to the south east. Way too busy.

All ways blocked, even my get out route down the A3 is screwed, they've closed the m4 westbound from 15 due to a fire now as well. I've never seen the M25 as red as on the live traffic sites. Oh well beer and tef it is

Nice football, no end product, not really worked their keeper, look like conceding every time they attack. Although most of their chances do come from us giving the ball away cheaply.

Well, fuck me.

That 30 minutes in the 2nd half was better than  anything we played last season. It was sensational, scintillating and had me shaking my head in disbelief - and so unexpected after a particularly meh 1st half.

Yeah, the usual pissing about should have seen us 3 down by half time but it's a small price to pay to watch stuff like that.

There was a good punch-up with 15 minutes to go down by the CGH, too. Great view from my seat in the Arkells!

I stand by my half time assessment of Byrne. BOO was dodgy too as was NT.

after half time it was a different team, those three impressed massively :)

Should have been 3-0 down at half time. Second half was class. Byrne deserves all the plaudits, but obika was outstanding too. Stewart was much improved second half, Williams looked every inch a centre back playing centre mid.

Key thing was saving the peno at 1-0. Had that gone in we MAY have struggled. Cracking result and being able to turn it around  eeks of a top club.

I wonder if anyone who has a theory on MC not being good at tactics has anything relevant to add....

Nice one Town. Now to lock Byrne in a cupboard on every day he's given off until September 1st  :D

Well, everybody moaning around me at half time and probably rightly so!!  Plenty fo skill but no penetration at all, change the system at the start of the second half and we look like fucking Brazil - no I do not know anybody called Brazil!!  When Byrne got his first I would have settled for a point but for 20 minutes we were on fire!  Bit of a delay around the 70th minute and the sting had gone from the game and both sides settled for a 4-1!  We've taken 40 goals out of the team and still scored four!!

I don't think a lot teams will enjoy playing against us due to our sheer energy. If nothing else we look even more mobile this season and seem to have a little more pace in the team.

Without being harsh, as he was great for us at Town but without having Mass in our team we instantly have more pace. Adding Ottewill, Randall, Byrne (in new RF pos.) and Hylton (Baastard getting injured he actually started well). I remember Mass, whilst being technically great, he did lack pace hich often translated as "not interested".

I was moaning and swearing at Byrne first half, as he was shooting weakly from long range and crossing weakly when there were better options. What a change by him second half, never saw that coming, and the sheer energy of the whole team wore Bradford down. !

Referee was a cock, the "penalty" was for a foul committed outside the area and they were cheating at corners by not having the ball touching the quadrant, the referee was relying on the linesman stationed on the half way line to check it!!  He didn't really want to know when the game got a bit physical!!

Thought it was a pen from my vantage point in the TE and as for corners, the rule is now that the ball only has to have at least part of it hovering over the line.

Jittery start, dodgy at the back and giving the ball away in midfield.

No fucking change there then....

1 zip down at HT and feeling lucky that it wasn't 3:0 or 3:1.

Second half was sublime....Bantams went to rat shit...we grew some balls and ripped them a new one.

Great start to the season... Quite pleased with that...Byrnes goals were superb and I will enjoy the highlights.

My, I enjoyed that day out....At half time, I said to the wife 'even if we lose this, they have shown there is some great footballing skill out there'.....little did I expect what happened in the second half.  Yes, first half, there was weak finishing - maybe shooting too quickly, but then last season we complained because no-one would go for goal!  Second half was awesome!  Congratulations to them all.  Yes a few mistakes at the back kept us on the edge of our seats, Obika got a bit mauled (with no recompense from the ref) by their centre back in the 1st half, and Byrne's delivery (again in the 1st half) was less than good.  But overall, I would be happy to watch that kind of football week in, week out.  I guess the test again will be against the poorer sides who pack their own half and leave no space for the kind of attacking verve we saw yesterday....

Great way to start the season. Couldn't make it yesterday - how did the new boys compare in a proper game to what they're replacing? I was surprised to see Branco start - based on reports of pre season form I'd expected Robert in the middle and Williams at the back. Maybe the theory was Branco knows Turnbull that much better, who knows.

I'd love to keep hold of Byrne - but at the very least he's jacked his price up.

I know Byrne and the new keeper got alot of plaudits yesterday but Obika's performance was superb. His aerial work and hold-up play was immense. We should have no worries about losing Smith as a central striker after that performance, frankly.

The new lad from Arsenal had tremendous energy down the left flank. Even towards the end of the game with the temperature at 25 degrees, he was still closing down at full pelt.

Not so effective on the wing, much better in the second half playing in the centre. Held the ball well, carried it forward and one exceptional through ball to create a chance for Byrne to cross just in front of Obika.

Louis Thompson type energy. Gave us the thrust we lacked in midfield when Louis got injured last season. Stewart played a massive part in tiring them out with his driving runs right up until full time.

I hope not, chopping and changing (not always by choice injuries/suspensions/asia cup) was a major downfall to last season. promoted sides are usually very settle. we need to keep the back 5 playing as much as possible. upfront is unchangeable as it is as well!

I'm most annoyed they've taken away the option of listening to the "old style" which actually was pretty much in real time. this new HD shite is almost a minute behind, which isn't ideal when you're following on twitter at the same time.
Player us total crap now ,as said above you cannot get the opposition stream without logging out and the logging to the opposition site. To date no highlights of the game ,logged into Bradford city they Have all the First half (not surprising) not the second ,checked two other clubs sites Gillingham and Chesterfield both had highlights up since 1230 yesterday .Wish I did not have to rely on it .

Well, I was quite encouraged by what I saw against Liverpool. This feeling was scuppered at times during the first half against Bradford. There were moments during the first half where I could see glimmers of hope but the tippy tappy twixt defence and Vigouroux looked too familiar, as did Byrnes taking on one opposition player too many.

I thought the goal we conceded was well worked. The pen that Thompson conceded looked like a dive to me and was as much a penalty as the one that Robert didn't get in the second half. The take was a bit weak but well saved by Vigouroux Magnifico.

The second half was 'kin awesome. Whatever was said to Byrne really did the trick. Kasim seems to be back to the Yasir we know and love. Branco had a really steady game, getting his head or boot in where needed. Stewart looks to be a real dynamo. Ran his socks off. BOO had a meh first half but picked it up for the second.

The ref was a bit of a cunt. Booking Byrne for a middle of the park challenge which was no different to the edge of the area challenge by McArdle that eventually saw Hylton going off with a probable broken collar bone? WTF?

First hat trick for the new Football league Show :toocool:

Overall? The Red Army is back on the war path :pint:
