Rochdale is the epitome of the depressed northern industrial town, but after years of fabled failure, its club is currently poised for what must be its highest-ever league position. Imagine what Rochdale's equivalent to Reg must be like… Rochdale's tourist board has not been helped by its population in recent times. Paedophile scandals have extended right up to its formerly beloved fat, friendly Lib Dem knight of the realm, Sir Cyril Smith. Though its current MP Simon Danczuk seems to get a pretty good press for his persistent truth-seeking. Only other Daleites I can think of are Lisa Stansfield, and I think Gracie Fields. There, that's my brain emptied of all Rochdale-related data. The result? Nervy, with a patched-up defence likely to concede against a side that looked good in mullering us at home (at a game that I chose to come over to watch, bien sűr). Daren't go for better than 1-1. Hilly was well and truly outdone by Cooper Man tonight......end of. Superb finishing by Swindon tonight and perhaps a lesson learned that we should've made use of loans to shore up the squad , especially given the injury problems we've had. Swindon are the best side I've seen all season, in fact, I enjoyed watching them even though they beat us twice, 5-0 on aggregate. I look forward to them beating Sheff Utd on penalties at Wembley. Sometimes you just have to say we were beaten by the better side. We didn't play badly at all tonight - indeed, with a bit more luck we could've easily scored a few more goals - but Swindon were fantastic. Swindon were clearly a cut above us, and deserve to be where they are in the league. I'd put them above Preston in terms of ability, though they might lack a bit of grit No shame at all, Swindon are a class above anything seen this season. They just always seemed to have a lot of time on the ball, fantastic one touch passing, certainly a style Hill would want want to implement here. Gladwin was fantastic last night given a free role in the middle of midfield which is his preferred position he reminds me of a young Chris Waddle in his heyday. Luongo seems to be better when playing the holding role he is so strong on the ball and they just struggled to get the ball off of him last night. Byrne also had his best game for a while mainly down to the fact they did not double up on him like others have , I came away from the game last night very optimistic that we could win the play offs . If it could be us taking 2nd spot I'd guess about 2.5k, if it could be us being equal with them I'd say 1-1.5k, any other situation would be < 1k.
