Title: The official good luck Scunthorpe non-matchday thread
Post by: Gnasher on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, 19:12:32
MKDonalds will go top with a win tonight. Can't see the franchise scum losing but hoping for a draw.

In other news, Walsall are 2-0 up on Preston in the JPT. If they go through tonight our game with them on 21st March will be moved.

Franchise away to Crewe Saturday. Fancy Crewe to get something from that game.

City home to Fleetwood who I expect them to beat.

I'm hoping for a post JPT Thursday backlash, a bit like when the Prem sides play on a Sunday after playing in the Europa League.

Ah I wondered why City v Fleetwood and Walsall v gillingham was on a Sunday!

Bizarrely the Walsall game is a 6pm kick off for some reason.

Shitty still moaning about us......still! What a bunch of sore losers. One day they might have the grace to admit we are in the promotion places on merit. Perhaps they should read other forums where opposition fans give a reasoned opinion.

"Top of the league, and 'aving a laugh"  :bye:

The OTIB thread on Franchise. Usual 'divers and cheats' crap that they come out with about us, because that's the only way we could have beaten them.  ::)

Hopefully tonight's game at Bramall Lane goes to extra time, and then penalties :D . My only concern is that we'll be over rested.

Interesting to see Mason and JMac on opposites sides, don't suppose this time last year they'd have anticipated playing in such a game.

Bit of snow about up north.....I'd imagine the Blades will be asking for volunteers, to shovel snow from the surrounds onto the pitch for Saturday.

Half time in Sheffield Utd v Spurs semi and sheffield look what they are, a bog standard league one side.

If we concentrate we should be ok on Saturday even though we have as shocking record there.

I don't think any of their players would get into our side at the moment.

So much for their intimidating atmosphere, like a library up there, although their players are not giving them much to shout about to be fair.

I think his parents might take the odd drink or two.

Born Che Zach Everton Fred Adams, Sheffield United's main man tonight was watched by just the 45 scouts at one match when he turned out for non-League Ilkeston.

The 18-year-old interested the likes of Huddersfield Town, Peterborough United and Crewe Alexandra, but became a Blade in November of last year.

"Che is one of those players that comes along every so often and makes you think, 'wow'," said Kevin Wilson, who gave the midfielder his debut in the non-league.

"His biggest asset is that knack of changing games in the blink of an eye."

Wise words it seems.

Ilkeston's attendances must have halved when he was sold.

Today's snow was forecast. Doesn't look like much is expected tomorrow or Saturday so suspect they'll leave it till at least tomorrow evening unless the pitch is waterlogged i suppose. They have undersoil heating so that's a big positive.
