(passage below is not, repeat not, from the Washbag) Under statement of the year, but: we all loved the Manor! We all love sharing our stories of the good old days. Bundles in the London Road, singing, the Brit, the left side / right side banter, Nappy, the carnage: pitch invasions, fans climbing up the floodlights, fights, Maxwell, demonstrations. Not to mention brilliant matches - the mid-week cup games in the 80's, the FA Cup gamed in the 60's, Swindon derbies, the social club, players, goals, funny songs and incidents. It's been crying out for everyone's Manor Memories to be collated, shared and enjoyed and now's the time! The Yellow Army is going to produce a Manor Memories book - complied of fans memories. It's all about the fans and our memories - to tell our Manor story from the terraces and record our own history. This will be our book. We'd really like to get the stories through the ages. From when the Manor was built, to the early OUFC days, to the big FA cup games, etc. There will be a chapter on London Road memories and songs as well. So fans of all ages please get involved! This is our story. Please send in your memories via [email protected], or, if you'd prefer, post them in the newly created section on this forum at www.yellowsforum.co.uk/board/25/manor-memories! There will be 3 threads 1 to recommend songs, another for iconic images, and a final one for stories. Leave your name and where you're from, if you’d like that to be included in the book.
