Did we appeal the penalty and red card from the ref who can see into the box from the opponents half through a load of players at Crawley or did we not bother?

few Town fans who slated him can take a harder look at themselves now.

An apology from the referee for the Yeovil red and this one rescinded (which NEVER happens to us!).

Good news for Saturday.

Amazing! I wonder if we can get the 5-0 result overturned too while we are on a roll.

Here is my problem with the red card punishment.

If you get a man sent off with 10 minutes of the game gone, the rest of the team plays for 80 minutes with 10 men.
If you get sent off with 80 minutes of the game gone, the rest of the team plays for 10 minutes with 10 men.

The two offences may have been identical, but the second punishment is significantly less harsh than the first.

And when you add in to the mix that Nathan should not have been sent off anyway, it does call in to question the validity of the result itself.  Yes, we were thumped 5-0.  But had we kept 11 men on the field, I think most would argue that the game could well have taken a very different course.

So while I'm pleased for the captain, I'm also irritated that the sending off may well have robbed us of a place in the next round.

Good news, I wonder if we'll still play 3 at the back Saturday?

Disgraceful red in the first place.....pleased for Nathan.
Let's hope this hasn't dented his confidence, particularly some of the disgusting posts made after the incident.

What he said.

Some of the stuff on Twitter and the God awful radio texts were embarrassing on Saturday.

I think you're being slightly optimistic there.

Maybe DoB was talking about the red card, not the player?

To be fair did you see the games he didn't play in? He definitely improves our side.
Granted he does make mistakes.
