It's amazing how many types there are out there, plastic, metal,  some with tyres, some with solid rubber wheels. I can't imagine many households would own one now, especially with the flexible plastic trugs that you can buy.

I don't own one. More for people with bigger gardens or those that move soil/mix concrete etc

Twin wheel > ball wheel > 2 wheelbarrows > twin wheel > ball...

If you have a lot of crap to shift from one part of the garden to the other then a wheelbarrow is perfect. I use trugs to take stuff to the tip, they keep the car tidy too.

 I like archaeological barrows, of which our part of the world is still well stocked....long, round, bowl, bell, disc, pond. 

Word of warning, don't be fooled into thinking the Giant's Grave above Oare is a long barrow, because of its name....it's not, it's a promontory fort earthwork, that resembles a long barrow.

One thing I really miss from Ireland was my sit-on mower. Used to love riding that thing round the estate!

Nope. My brother assisted by myself closeboarded it. Neighbour went halves on costs. looks great and will last donkeys years. We did their back fence as well. Lazy fuckers ain't painted their side though.Their other side is still down which I don't care about but that's between them and their other neighbours.

I did have one that i rescued from the tip and fixed...but fell out with the neighbours and sprayed it fluorescent green with pink spots and bolted to my shed roof in full view of their kitchen window.

I've moved now....I bet it's gone..
