Clever move.

Pay upfront. Then the money is in the bank.

Some people can't afford that cost upfront, but fair play to the club for the idea.

Yeah Ive just got the email.  Gotta say I like that a lot.  I work freelance so season ticket is not really an option, but an 8 match ticket if you can pick the matches is bang on.

Good work town.

Good move. I'd be a little concerned, as Sippo said, that it's still a bit pricey (works out 20 quid a match for adults) but you can't fault the club for listening and responding. Hope it helps boost attendances and that might encourage more initiatives like this. We can all play a part by encouraging mates who didn't get a season ticket because they work shifts or whatever to look at these.

It's a great idea. Shows some real intent in getting fans back and listening to the fans.

The prices are still pretty high, but it's definitely better.

Maybe the next step is like 2 game packages? Like a "Bank Holiday Ticket Deal" where you get the Bank holiday Friday game and the Monday game and make a saving?..

£20 a game is the worse scenario (I.e. £20 per match in the side stands). It's still a fiver a game saving though. Best case is £14.38 a game in the Town End. You really can't argue that's expensive for football nowadays. Can't see as the club can do much more. Great initiative!

Great stuff from the club there. I hope it works, it deserves to as an initiative and the team deserve more backing.

£6.90 for Under 15's is very good, I decided not to buy my two boys(11 & 14) a ST this season as quite a few games they will be doing something else but this means they can pick and chose the games as suits.

Lets put it into perspective it is £10 to get into Hungerford in the Southern Premier!! £18.75 per game for 8 League 1 games in the side stands is a very good deal. The only own gaol the club may have made is the 8 games in the townend works out cheaper than the ST price of £15 per game woops

I'm a season ticket holder in the Town End. I don't care if someone else gets a cheaper deal, the more the merrier.

It's all about bums on seats, more people through the turnstiles, more atmosphere . . . . oh, hang on still got the shit music to contend with - and Rocking Robin!!  Seriously, good initiative by the club, and who cares if it is a lot cheaper in the TE, a full TE all singing and shouting is a marvellous thing!!

It has got to be a good move, just trust the current stay-awayers see it as such. There are a fair number of people who know I am a ST holder and want to talk about the Town and how well they are doing, but still do not come to matches.

Nor me, maybe we could have a whip round for their 8x22p's? Just hope the club market it properly, too often in the past great initiatives like this haven't had the take-up they deserve because they've largely been preaching to the converted. Get some fliers printed up, give them out in town centre/Brunel/Greenbridge/wherever on a Saturday morning, get some in pubs and clubs etc, do some cross-promotions where they have a competition to win an 8-match pass in a couple of the busier clubs etc etc

Brings the price of my ticket in the Arkells Stand down to the £20/game level that feels reasonable.  And where as committing to 23 home games/season would not make sense for me, committing to 6 certainly does.

Well done to the Club.  We spoke, they listened.  Just need to find that £120 now.

Couple of possible logistical issues with this. How does a seat get allocated? As no one has any idea who will turn up for what game? Also what if we're top needing a point from the last game, there could be hundreds of people with 1 ticket left that the club doesn't know if they will turn up or not?

This.  The Club has in the past relied too heavily on people going to their official website to find out about ticket prices/offers or sending emails to people already on their mailing list.  Hopefully, they are starting to learn that they need to target a wider audience.

From the OS: "For supporters wishing to take up the new ticket packs, simply visit our online ticketing site using the link below and under memberships, choose the ticket package and stand required then proceed to checkout. To add matches to your account in the future, login and add your chosen matches as soon as they go on sale. Your selected matches can be added to your 'match card', printed at home or collected from the pre-booked point at The County Ground on the matchday.

I would imagine in the latter scenario people with the pre paid tickets will be given a deadline to cash in before there ticket are released. As soon as any match goes on sale online you can go on and pick your seat .

So, can these tickets be used for a Class A game (Shitty e.g), by paying an extra £2 or would you have to buy a separate ticket at full price

I'd be surprised if you had to pay anything extra for a Class A game.  If you go to the link on the OS, it looks like you pay for your 6 or 8 match ticket up front and can then pick any games regardless of which Class they fall into.

How I read it you will purchase your card and then go on-line or to the office to get your ticket for the game, I don't think you are buying any particular seat for 6/8 matches!

The press release mentions ' 6 and 8 game packages for standard category games'

But there's no such thing  as "standard category".  Only "Gold", "Silver" and "Bronze".  I can't see that they would make cash adjustments (up or down).  As singingiiiffy says, probably worth a quick phone call to clarify.

No. You have to go online and book individual matches when the tickets for the games become available.  See my post on the previous page.  They can't allocate the same seat for all 6/8 matches in advance because they don't know which 6/8 matches you will want to go to.

Good timing too, with us up to second & some tough games coming up.

If this doesn't get bums on seats, not sure what the club can do to attract more people to the CG.

Actually, Peterborough are averaging slightly more home fans per game than they did last year 5711 to 5708.

In fact, so are Preston 9794 to 9442

Cant help thinking a 4 game deal would have gone down well too, am sure plenty out there wont be able to afford the two options esp in the run up to xmas.

Rochdale hopefully will be a better gate esp as a bronze cat game and we havent had a home game for a month

4 would be ideal but im still taking the 6. i rarely make saturdays and i there are 4 midweek home games left between now and end of season. im banking on a rearranged game from weather, fa cup or internationals.

The really clever thing would be to approach someone you hate, like "fooooorward" man, and offer to buy a joint one with him.

Guaranteed you'll never see him at another game this season. HTH.  ;)

I guess you can either add games to your card or what I did was just selected an eticket and went to check out and it cost nothing and then I printed it.
